Cradled in liberty...and controversy?!?

A U.S. Navy veteran is facing tons of online criticism for a photo she posted of a baby being cradled in the U.S. flag, held by a soldier.

 While the image may indeed violate the letter of the U.S. flag code, are these critics crazy?  

 What do YOU see?


I see an image of precisely what our country stands for. This soldier...cradling an innocent child in the glory and liberty provided by our nation's defenders, as represented by our flag.

 What on earth is wrong with this?

    Compare this to burning the flag. I'm O.K w/ this picture. It's a matter of intent. This isn't intended to desecrate the flag.
